Bio

"Before I knew what love was, I knew I love rock 'n' roll"

Sanjay Michael’s electrifying debut album Rocking Into Midnight returns to the heyday of classic rock and hard-driving blues. With extensive positive reviews from all over the world, the critics are united on this one!

An Australian who travelled the world before hanging out in Singapore for a while, Sanjay decided that because modern rock existed only within covers of the classics - and the classics were good! - it was time to create new riffs, new songs... And so he started to write his own.

Each of the album's 10 tracks has its own vibe and place in the collection, but they’re all grounded in old-school rhythm and Sanjay’s musical instinct is to always take the groove back to basics.

His journey is clear: bring the holy trinity of the rhythm guitar wall of riffs, the classic searing blues lead and singer- songwriter narrative back to foot-tapping, fist-pumping domination.

The album Rocking Into Midnight is now available on all major online streaming stores.

Press

"Every song pulsates with that unmistakable rock 'n' roll energy... His upcoming album promises to be a modern rock masterpiece"

- Music-News.com

"Take the opening track and self-titled single, “Rocking Into Midnight,” which turns back the clock to epic 70s rockers, emulating the likes of Thin Lizzy and AC/DC, as if it just missed the cutting room floor of the Dazed and Confused soundtrack."

- We All Want Someone To Shout For

"It harkens back to an era of rock music that feels pure, fun, and full of life... With a purity that doesn't seem to exist much in American rock anymore..."

- The Farsighted

"This is a truly old-school album. A love letter to the tracks we grew up with... We need more records like this"

- Noho Arts District
